Very First Post to this Blog

Good morning all. David passed away yesterday afternoon, July 21, 2009 at 1:39pm. It came more quickly than anyone expected, especially on the heels of a beautiful parting email and drawing he sent to loved ones just yesterday morning. The details of his passing and the celebrations to come of his life and teachings will emerge on this website, as we know so many want to know. But for now, Ananda is needing time to be present in the moment with those in her company and to avoid letting this sacred time be consumed by technicalities and technology. Thank you so much for your patience. The task of notifying everyone who cared for David with sensitivity and attentiveness is a daunting one indeed, too large for one person.

The Seattle, Washington friends are still here. Lexi from Ashland, OR will arrive tomorrow. Kyle, Devin, Becky will be with Ananda today. Ananda's Mom is enroute. She has Ibn with her too, which is a blessing. Her immediate needs for help and support are covered for the moment. She will need all of us for the long journey of grief, celebration and stitching life back together.

Ananda will use this website to stay in touch, post information as she is able, and read your messages, even if she cannot respond to your calls or call you directly as she might wish. Again thank you for your patience.

Hold David in the light.

Karen H.

  1. My condolences to David's family and friends. I didn't know David except for an occasional kind hello. I feel your loss.
