Happy Birthday David and thank you so much for those photos. reminds me of the poignancy for all of us, so full of wonder and life and love in the beginning, all coming eventually to rest after the bumps and bruises and glories of life. I know the slow dawning of those left behind that life has changed, really changed, yes really changed. and the quiet after the hubbub. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeletelove to you dear,
Vicki
Very sweet
ReplyDeleteDear Ananda,
ReplyDeleteThinking of you in this day (and many other days) and celebrating with you.
With much love,
Adi, Stephen and Coco
I have been thinking of you and David all day since it is his birthday. It was so sweet to open your email and see his baby picture. He looks so gleeful! Not an adjective that I would usually use for him. Thank you for thinking to send this out to us all. What a sweet blessing.
ReplyDeleteLet’s try to talk together in the next few days. I am missing you.
Bless you, Ananda! Such a sweet picture. Thanks too, for your letter. When B gets back (Oct 12) from Arizona, we'll look together at your suggestions. Much, much love,
ReplyDeleteM
PS: Good news about the I Ching!
Thanks, Ananda. And Happy Birthday David, wherever you are!! I just read through the recent posts and saw the photos and it helped me go through another round of grieving. Wow. Such sadness in my heart missing David, yet such gratitude for all he brought to my/our life. All mixed together. And such sadness for you and your loss - I'm hoping you still have Iben! And such wondering about what is in store for you this next phase of your life. I'm happy you're teaching yoga - yea! That must bring you joy.
ReplyDeleteAnd again, let us know any way we can help you through this transition.
We both send you lots of tender love,
B & R
Thank you, dear Ananda, for this and for the blog entries. Such a nice touch both in the writing and the photos. Happy Birthday indeed. What a day. It's pretty much all that is on my mind and heart since I have no scheduled appointments today to distract me. Perhaps you know we -- expanded Boulder sangha -- are gathering tonight for a talking circle in honor of David's birthday and our grief, which marches along with us day after day. A tremendous amount moving within, all one can do is hang on for the ride and sit in honor of it all. Growing devotion and commitment to the next step whatever that turns out to be.
ReplyDeleteHow are YOU? How's your incorporation process going? Finely mixed with your grief process I know, no way for it to be otherwise. Please let me know how it's going when you get a chance.
Very much looking forward to the I Ching book. A big thank you to all of you working on that.
lots of hugs, kisses, blessings, and love,
L
Yes, I've been feeling his presence and love all morning. Many blessings to you, Dear Ananda, I'll be in touch soon.

Wow- thank you. So great to hear that the I-Ching is soon to come out. That has taken a lot of work by many people. Please send my thanks to all of them in any of your e-mails.
ReplyDeleteHope you are getting on. I can only imagine what it has been like for you. Paul
Namah Siva (David)... Hugs to you Ananda.
ReplyDeleteAloha dear one,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the birthday message. Not being the best tracker of birthdays, I was unaware of the significance of this day. A quick scroll through the blog had me teary-eyed and missing David and the elegant sangha environments of shared retreat spaces.
How you? How you?
The photos of Fall in Silverton are lovely...I bet hints even of winter are upon you as well.
Hoping you are feeling heart-nourished, body-rested, spirit-embraced...
Much love,
P
Thank you dear one! Didn't realize today was his b-day...how are you doing??? Sending loving blessings and hope you are feeling held by him and all of us. Love, E
ReplyDeleteHi Ananda - that movie was soooo beautiful of David's drawings - David was a fellow Libra :) Just had my 44th on October 3rd... Love - Peter
ReplyDeleteAnanda, that is one very cute picture. Blessings.

Ananda, beautiful photos and reflections of your process. What a time of loss and beginning. I can hear the sense of emptiness as you keep rediscovering that David is gone. And now your mom departs…I am sure this is bittersweet. Sounds like there is both relief and sorrow. All will be well. All manner of things are well.
ReplyDeleteFirewood. Yes. That’s big for a girl on her own! BIG! Enough to drive her out of that cabin!
Blessings sweet one.
Feeling tender today with David’s birthday. Dreamed of David two nights ago…perhaps for the first time since his passing.
Much love, holding you in my prayers. Found a picture of you recently and put it on my bookcase so as to hold you in presence and prayer.
Much love, J
